Presenting station keeping research to a group of visiting high school students interested in engineering.

I am an Assistant Professor in the School of Computing and Information Systems at Grand Valley State University.  My research focuses on the optimization of robotic systems through bio-inspired design techniques.  Specifically, I study the application of computational evolution to both control and morphology of robotic systems.  In natural organisms, the body and brain are highly intertwined. My work investigates the algorithms and processes that can lead to robotic systems that exhibit the coupling between robotic controller and the underlying morphology.  In addition, I also study specific aspects of both control and morphology individually to better understand the dynamics of each component in robotic systems.

Feel free to contact me with any questions that you may have.  On this site, you will find a list of my publications, my CV, as well as an online evolutionary robotics environment, Evolve-a-Robot, that runs completely in the browser.

    Hello Sir!
I am currently working on a project that has to employ Evolutionary Robotics in ROS and Gazebo.
Your blogs are really great and helped me a lot but I think I am stuck at a particular thing. It would be great if we could get in touch.
